Disney's Hollywood Studios is abuzz with the latest Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge updates, and it's all about the benches! Two construction projects have been keeping guests and enthusiasts on their toes since the summer. One project is almost complete, offering a new seating area near Toy Story Land, while the other, Savi's Workshop, continues to intrigue with its mysterious construction walls.
New Seating Area Unveiled
Construction walls first appeared in July, signaling the arrival of a new bench seating area between Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land. The walls have since been partially removed, replaced by rolling planters, as the new benches take shape. A crew member was spotted painting a gray wall, hinting at the upcoming floral display. The bench itself, crafted from fake rockwork, sits alongside a flowerbed with black railings atop it. An adjacent wall, resembling an old structure, provides an additional flat surface for guests to rest.
Despite the ongoing construction, the area is nearly ready for its grand unveiling. The presence of construction materials suggests a final touch-up before the benches are fully operational.
Savi's Workshop: A Work in Progress
In contrast, the construction walls surrounding Savi's Workshop have been extended, shrouding the build-your-own lightsaber experience in mystery. Since their installation in late August, no visible progress has been made, leaving guests curious about the ongoing work.
The walkway, part of the Savi's Workshop courtyard and waiting area, remains partially blocked, adding to the air of intrigue. While the exact nature of the construction is unclear, it's safe to assume that Savi's Workshop is undergoing some exciting transformations.
Toy Story Land Snack Kiosk Opens
In other news, Toy Story Land recently welcomed a new snack kiosk, offering guests a chance to indulge in pepperoni pizza and spring rolls. This development marks the completion of one construction project, leaving the area buzzing with excitement.
